German (blue) chamomile
Chamomilla recutita
This essential oil is often called blue chamomile due to its dark blue color which comes from a component chamazulene.
It is one of the first choices for treatment of skin inflammation and irritation and it is perfect for dry skin – low concentration (1-2%) in rosehip seed oil is a true blessing!
It blends well with essential oils of lavender, tea tree, bergamot and ylang-ylang.
